August 27, 2004Collarbomber updateFinally, an update on what the FBI calls the Collarbomber case, easily one of the most bizarre crimes in recent memory. A quick recap: a pizza deliveryman robbed a bank in Pennsylvania a year ago, claiming that he had been forced to do so by someone who strapped a homemade bomb around his neck and threatened to blow him up. It exploded, killing him before the bomb squad could arrive. The FBI today released details from instructions the Collarbomber wrote, as well as some guesses that their behavioral analysts about the mysterious mastermind.
