December 22, 2003Single woman = sane womanStaying single leads to better mental health in women, according to a new study conducted in England, reports the Evening Standard. Just the opposite is true for men, who do better when they're in a relationship. Indeed, BBC News emphasizes, "men who stay single are most likely to suffer from depression." Men and women whose first relationships turns into a lifelong one suffer the fewest mental problems, while the more breakups people have, the worse off they'll be.
