Brian Chin's Weblog surveys the Web to spot what people are talking about ...
December 09, 2003My blog, myself? We blog, therefore we are. Sounds extreme (or cute) but there may be something to it, according to Jeff Jarvis at BuzzMachine: MIT and others are starting to analyze personality and opinion based on writing and a weblog is a good sample. What a great blog tool: Analyze my blog and analyze me. Analyze my blog and really make good Amazon recommendations. Analyze my blog and recommend friends. My blog is my avatar. My blog is an expression of the essential me. That's just one of several interesting insights that he gleaned from a recent MIT Media Lab session. He also mentions an interesting experiment which suggests that although Net users may say that they're interested in buying content on a case-by-case basis using a micropayment scheme, it's all-you-can-read subscription schemes that they really go for.
