Snapster, new and improved
In his latest column, Robert X. Cringely responds to reader concerns and criticisms about his idea for a (theoretically) legal music-downloading service.
"Snapster 2.0" is much more complicated so I won't even attempt to summarize it here. Suffice it to say, it's starting to sound more like a video rental store than an ingenious, all-digital pipe dream.
And, although he does address my concern about lost royalties for artists, he doesn't offer a particularly good answer.
