Who says no one rides the 248?

Metro's newest route is already popular with the farm set.

Rooster on the 248

And I thought the guy with the rabbit was weird.

It's okay. He can ride for free if he wants to. I don't care.

That reminds of the pigeons who rode through the tunnel from Convention Place Station to Westlake Station.

Bus Chick(en)... I love this.

I can only imagine the exchange: Rooster, "Hey Bus driver, does this bus go by the Hen house rural route 20...?"

Unregistered: Oh how I wish I had thought of that! It would have been such a great title: "A different kind of bus chick." Ah well.

Pigeons on buses? Don't tell my brother. He might never ride again.

P.S. - It was actually a driver who took that picture. One day, when he's an old man, it can be one of his many "crazy passenger" stories.

I don't get it: the rooster just randomly hopped on the bus?

It reminds me of that awesome YouTube video of the cat in England that hops on the bus, runs under the seat, rides it one or two stops, and then hops off at the fish market. All the passengers are so used to it they're not even phased anymore!

Hmm. Isn't that a bus fowl?

That looks like the Avondale Place layover. Nice layover I wonder if the spider as large as my hand is still there?

Unregistered #113856, If you're correct on the location, maybe the rooster ate the Jumbo Spider, and was too full to walk, so hopped on board the bus!

"Bus fowl." Love it. How could I have missed the opportunity for all these great puns? One I received in e-mail yesterday: "Riders are flocking to the 248..."

So THAT'S the answer to the old joke, "why did the chicken cross the road?"

...He was trying to make his transfer!

Hi, I'm the guy who took the rooster pic. The first time I took it with my cell phone. I brought along my digital camera this time in case the rooster came back. It did. So I took a short video of it hopping up the stairs, looking around for food, then getting off the bus when I started it up to get ready to leave.

Here's the video...

Why did the bus driver wait so long for the rooster to get off the bus?
