A fellow blogger, Bob McDonald, wrote an article on May 13 about my post "I'm Going to Live to Be 97: How About You?"
McDonald liked the Life Expectancy Calculator that I found. He thought it was instructive to go through it and watch your life expectancy drop as you move the slider down for items such as "light exercise" rather than "moderate exercise."
However, McDonald said he thinks the calculator is a bit generous.
In his article, he included links to information he has written on retirement planning that referenced mortality tables from the Social Security Web site.
McDonald's blog is called The Platinum Years Network. He has worked as a stockbroker and financial planner, and is blogging now about boomers issues. McDonald's blog is dedicated to "Helping You Get the Best Out of the Rest of Your Life."
