Slug Fest #1:

B's Little League team won tonight 14-8. It was a hitting kind of night. :) This makes up for the last game where they were down 0-9 until the last inning. They still lost, but made up ground. Final score was 7-9. B has been batting well. He's swinging and striking out some, but hitting more often. Fun stuff. I'm enjoying watching how well he's playing this year.

Slug Fest #2:

Tonight my husband and I watched the late evening news broadcast and saw that the M's also had some hitting going on, hitting of a different kind however. It seems both teams' benches emptied onto the field after M's player, Richie Sexon, almost got hit in the face by a pitch. He charged the Rangers' pitcher on the mound and chucked his batting helmet at him. Mass chaos broke out. I didn't see the actual game so don't know what provoked this. ???

Slug Fest #3:

My beautiful irises are not flowering. The slugs ate all the blossoms.
