Bullpen coach named
The Mariners have announced that Jim Slaton will be the bullpen coach for the 2005 season.
This will be Slaton's ninth season in the Mariners organization. Last year he worked as a special assignment pitching coach after five seasons as the pitching coach for Tacoma.

Another award for Ichiro
Ichiro Suzuki was named AL Outstanding Player for the 2004 season. This award, as are all Players Choice Awards, was selected by secret ballot of all Major League players.
